Admission to the B.Ed. Course is made on the basis of merits, in the qualifying examination (i.e. B.A/ B.Sc./ B.Com-lll). The institute has been allotted 100 seats (i.e. 30 medical, 30 non-medical & 40 Arts/Commerce) for boys & girls 50 seat falls under the subsidized category and equal number of seat under non-subsidized category.
About College
The trust applied for setting up of a B.ED College in Village Mairi where the Dera is situated. The honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh was kind enough to accord sometime of setting up a B.ED College at village Mairi tehsil Amb Distt Una ( H.P ) . N.O.C was granted by the State Govt vide number for starting this College for the session 2007 - 2008.

The College has been set by “Jupiter Welfare Trust” headed by its Chairman Sh. Balbir Singh Panesar. Sh. Balbir Singh Panesar is managing Director of leading Construction Co., based in Delhi. He is very religious minded person and has been staunch devotee of Dev Baba Badbagh Singh. He has been visiting The Dera Sahib for very long time nearly half a decade. He came in contact with local resident’s who felt the great need to setup educational institute for upliftment of rural masses through education. The persistent desire of the people moved Sh. Balbir Singh to set up Educational Institute in this serene but remote area.


Sh. Balbir Singh Panesar, who due to rural background could not have formal education, strongly felt that upliftment of rural children can only be brought about through Education and Producing qualified and dedicated Teachers.

Thus an Education Welfare Trust was formed with sole objective of setting up Education Institute for B.Ed. course and Jupiter College was born.

 

 
Recognition/Affiliation

The college has been recognized by The Government of Himachal Pradesh and Department of Higher Education vide letter No. EDN-A-Chh(7)-6/2006 dated 07.02.2007 and 'The Northern Regional Committee of NCTE vide Letter No. FNRC/ NCTE/ F-7/ HP-214/ 2008/ 38898-905 dated 12th February 2008. And the college is also affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh University Shimla.

Authority of the College
1. The authority of the college extends over every student on its rolls at all times
2. All students should be modest neat and tidy in dress avoiding expensive clothes and exaggerated fashions. times
3. Student should be regular in attendance and punctual at all function. They should be in their seat seats before the lecture enters to give the lesson. times
4. Students are expected to be co-operative with the college authorities in maintaining its high standard of cleanliness and order. times
5. Visitors are not allowed to go the class-room.
